Region 3 Ecological Services staff votes yes! 96% of voters approve establishing a union chapter
This site is intended to provide information regarding the various efforts to form collective bargaining units (local union chapters) within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS, FWS). AFGE is launching a national organizing campaign to unite USFWS employees into one strong union family. Join the effort and help to protect our rights as workers!
Have you seen the news lately? Unions have been instrumental in pushing back against recent attempts by the administration to harass and intimidate workers. Lawsuits filed by unions have resulted in reversals of may of the unlawful workplace practices to which many workers have been subjected.
AFGE, and other union lawsuits, don’t just protect union members. When a court blocks a RIF, Schedule F, or illegal workplace practice, the agency is stopped from acting against anyone. That includes non-members, probationary staff, and supervisors. The protection is agency-wide. It protects all of us!
Read more about what unions have done to protect all of us on on our why join a union page.
