Feb-05-2026: AFGE certified to represent professional staff

The American Federation of Government Employees has been certified to represent "All professional employees of the Alaska Region, Region 7, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service."

Jan-26-2026: Alaska votes YES

The election to determine if Alaska Region  Professional staff should be represented by the American Federation of Government Employees has passed with 100% of voters voting yes.

Dec-16-2025: Notice of election distributed

 Federal Labor Relations Authority "Notice of Election" has been distributed to staff. "All professional employees of the Alaska Region, Region 7, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, who were on the payroll as of November 29, 2025" will have the opportunity to vote  and determine if they:

wish to be represented for the purpose of exclusive recognition under the provisions of the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute, by the American Federation of Government Employees, AFL-CIO

Jun-03-2025: Petition for election filed with FLRA

Alaska Region staff filed a petition for election with the Federal Labor Relations Authority to "request an election to determine if certain employees in an appropriate unit wish to be represented for the purpose of  collective bargaining".
